Theme: Transforming Food system: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health
In commemoration of the International Youth Day on the 12th of August, 2021, the Princeton Leadership Forum held a webinar, with the theme centered on the “Transforming Food system: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”.
The event which held on Zoom was an educative and fructuous session with the guest speaker, Mr. Iroy Orji (a successful banker and life coach) who gave a mind-blowing and thoughtful lecture on the theme.
In his presentation, Mr. Iroy, charged every youth to pay attention to agriculture especially farming. Hence, young persons should dissipate their energy into agricultural sector so as to combat the food scarcity and incessant increase in the price of foods across the nation.
However, there are different agricultural businesses aside farming that youth can engaged in. The likes of Fishery, Poultry and others. Apparently, all these businesses can be started with little capital and if well committed, the business will grow and contribute to food security and economic development of the nation as well.
Moreover, it is expedient for the youth who have political ambition in mind to get a stable and good job at hand before pursuing political career. Thus, the political office should not be seen as an avenue to loot the resources belonging to the generality but as an avenue to participate and contribute their quota to the growth and development of the country.
Our youth in the country and outside the country are celebrated on this day.
Happy International Youth Day.
